So, I own a property that has a stream running through it. About 15 years ago, while making a trail, I found a small grave on a little rise above the stream. Rocks placed around with a headstone rock that might be the size of a sheet of paper. Could be a child or a pet. From the moss on the rocks I always figured it to be at least 50 years old.

wait until a family pet passes away and then bury it in the same place. see if it comes back.

I'm guessing pet. How do you assume the age? Moss can grow quickly, especially by a dark creek

Idk what to tell you 15 years later.

Definitely coming here was the first before the police was the best choice.

Probably use the tibias as sme cool knife handles. Make the knuckles into charms for a bracelet.

Don’t go disturbing the dead.
Unless they are really really dead and then you can dig them up for science

Go to the court house and look up the families that owned the property before you. And see if they had anyone died and was buried there.

I am an outdoorsman and what you would call a noticer. That is my best guess +- 10 years...

Why not clean it up a bit and just leave it alone just be a good caretaker. I have a Confederate General buried on mine and do the same.

Let me further clarify, when I say child, I meant baby. Very small.
There is no chance I would touch it. I rerouted the damn trail...
