The Parish had an estimate done right before Covid where they projected 120k new residents by 2030 and I bet that number is likely going to be much higher

You clearly aren’t familiar with the area. Cookie cutter homes on postage stamps are going for 300k.

You continue to focus on race though.

This type of growth is unsustainable from an infrastructure standpoint.

I agree with Mike on this one.
I don't think anyone saying they will stop development long term.
They just need to slow down, figure out how to handle the growth, and come up with realistic game plan going forward.

It’s too far north, you wouldn’t like it north of Covington.

I would just trying to convince the so on moving onto 10+ acres.
Was looking at the NE side of abita but that would put us to far away from her family for help with kids.

Growth in at Tammany’s been going on for generations.
How on earth did st Tammany end up like this? All the quality leaders over the decades….
The plans! The meetings!

Whatever happened to New Directions 2025 growth maintenance plan introduced by back in 1998 and ratified by parish president kevin davis?

Ha

This was about 3 years ago and I said the same thing. But after listening to a few people on the parish council, I think it is probably pretty close to the truth the activity off 1085 and 1077 and along 22 towards Bedico is pretty stout....and up past Abita in the Money Hill area.

The outward migration Post-Ida from Houma/Thibadeaux to the Northshore was not factored in either as that growth of upper middle class coinciding with the Orleans Parish exodus.

This also does not take into account the new FEMA Flood Ins rate increases that go into effect on April 1st.

Went to an open house and he spoke for 35 minutes just about himself and the grand accomplishments of his children. He’s insane and 3-4 of his teachers openly shite on him to anyone
