Really? And I didn't like the direction WWE was going with all the SJW stuff. This is terrible. They're trying to make WWE look like, well, me.

I thought "Fight for the Fallen" had something to do with the military (especially here in a military town like Jax) but it does indeed have something to do with "addressing gun violence."

This will probably be the more tough southern fight style like WCW and NWA/Crockett was with ric flair and dusty Rhodes. The Yankees at WWF were putting on a mostly cartoon show before the late 90s. I heard there's going to be win loss standings to determine who gets a title shot etc

I agree I like their behind the scenes stuff, the look back at the wrestlemania, the ride alongs... all that stuff is cool to me to see who these people really are and the lives they live on the road all the time.

It's a staged fight! Stats and analytics shouldnt matter

At the end of the day neither do title belts. None if this actually matters in the big scheme of things.

Fans complane about lack of change but bitch when something different comes out.

This really wont have much of an impact on anyones decision to watch or not but i do think its kind of cool. I wish WWE would have attemted this

I think it may be the start of some "fantasy" style game at some point.

They better hire a lot of Barry Horowitz's, Glacier's, Mortis', and Brooklyn Brawler's to job to Cody, Jericho, Omega, and Page.....cause I don't think any of those 4 will take a "loss" that puts them at the bottom of the card.

You mean like the music.....yea copyright infringement is a bitch in 2019....it wasnt as noticeable in 1995 especially for the mom and pop shops that wrestling was back then.

He said UFC is already doing something similar. I think it will be like punches thrown vs connected in boxing.

UFC is a real damn fight.

Also, do worked punches ever "connect".....I mean the IWC marks may go along with this....the casual wrestling fan is gonna see through that "punches" thrown vs connected crap.....especially if they do it for women whose best working punches look like shite and the worst don't even connect.

Remember when some kid got shot at a Madden tournament at that theater right before the Superbowl a few years ago? That's what Fight for the Fallen is all about. All the proceeds are going to some anti gun group. Tony Khan is really passionate about that subject.

They don’t cater to anyone but their Board. The big wigs that deal with the public trading side are the ones that have a hand in how stale the WWE has become. Even most recently, the suits wanted to pull Brays new character off the air.

On a completely unrelated note RIP

Former WWE wrestler Ashley Massaro has passed away, and the circumstances surrounding her death are currently unclear.

The Suffolk County Medical Examiner in New York tells The Blast, Massaro died Thursday and was brought to the medical examiner’s office.

We’re told the death is currently under investigation, but officials would not say more at this time.

Law enforcement sources tell us a “rescue call” came in at 5:23 AM to her home in Smithtown and was transported to a local hospital, where she passed away.

We’re told police believe no foul play was committed, and are classifying the death as “non-criminal.”

Massaro is best known for winning the “WWE Diva Search” in 2005, and eventually becoming a valet for WWE Tag Team Champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

One of her most famous matches was against Melina at Wrestlemania in 2007. Later that same year, Massaro appeared on the cover of Playboy.

She also competed in “Survivor: China” in 2007, and was voted off the island after only 6 days.

In 2008 Massaro retired from the WWE, but began to mount a comeback in professional wrestling in 2017

I would hope they break out the old rule book where a closed fist punch is illegal. Keep the strikes to forearms and chops/slaps/palm strikes. Not saying to DQ for a closed fist punch, but at least make the heel hide it in the beginning of the match from the ref while opponent is in a side headlock. Also more effective for the face comeback to get fed up with the heels cheating tactics and “fight fire with Fire” with a punch.

The “no closed fist” rule adds so much potential to match psychology, which is often lacking today.
