Agreed 100%. They also have the refined version of Neville that he was just beginning to tap into when he left WWE.

hopefully they get Jon Dean Ambrose Moxley too
Yeah, I was a big fan of Neville toward the end of his WWE run. He and Enzo were the only things I liked about 205 Live. I also liked Ambrose throughout his time in WWE. Hopefully, they can both do well in AEW.

People that act like AEW will save wrestling and people that have their heads in the sand over how bad WWE is are one in the same. Both thriving is what would be best for business

My main issue is that any live thread about WWE is filled with morons who do nothing but trash WWE and say that X wrestler needs to go to AEW, assuming that AEW will be completely immaculate and perfect with their booking for every single wrestler on their roster and will not be able to do any wrong

AEW will make mistakes just like any other promotion. The grass is not always greener

I don't understand what people mean by competition. WCW and WWF were both viable companies at the same time. So was ECW, again at the same time. WCW's rise was possible due WWF being stale garbage at the time. Its entirely possible for multiple wrestling promotions to be successful simultaneously. I don't know why people are acting like that's impossible. Obviously WWE sees them as a threat since they're willing to sign every wrestler who's ever been on tv to a huge deal to sit at home and do nothing just to keep them away from AEW. Even MSG finally told Vince to frick off and booked the G1 show. AAA just booked a show there recently and guess who they're partnered with?

I keep hearing (mainly pro-AEW, anti-WWE) types say "Why would you want AEW to fail? Competition is good! It will bring out the best in WWE!"

I think that's a bunch of bullshite. The pro-AEW types from my experience are the ones who come into live RAW/Smackdown/PPV threads and trash WWE, trash the people who watch it, and boast about how they don't watch WWE anymore, unsubscribed from WWE network, and all of that. They hate WWE.

Which is why I think its a bunch of bullshite that they mention it will make WWE better. These people hate WWE so much they aren't going to watch it even if it become a thousand times better than what it is now.

Not everyone is like that. I don't "Hate" the WWE but I don't enjoy what it has turned into. I have a few things about it I still enjoy. Bray Wyatt being one of those things.

It's not impossible to say both companies can thrive. Anti AEW are kidding themselves if they think WWE doesnt need a gigantic kick in the arse right now. Just like Anti WWE guys are kidding themselves if they think AEW will take over from day 1.

This is good for both sides

hopefully AEW will force WWE to stop catering to the SJW crowd and be creative again.

Supposed to have a TV-14 rating, so that could be good. I think the competition will be good for WWE who has let their foot off the gas lately. This past Smackdown's ratings were the worst in the last 10 years.
I'm not a blind WWE fanboy, I just want a good show and if it takes another big brand pushing them to make that happen then I'm all for it.

I don't watch wrestling anymore but people who say this are dumbos that don't realize wrestling is no different than watching a show or movie.

It's actually more real than shows or movies because it's all live without the luxury of editing.

something I kept hearing about AEW as I took in the news of the TV deal...

AEW is apparently going to a "competition based" system that will involve statistics and analytics for a "league"... instead of "storyline based" like WWE

I'm interested to see what that means... is AEW going to start a real "fantasy wrestling league" (like fantasy football/basketball/baseball)

this sounds more like NJPW product than what we as American wrestling fans are used to

Sounds like AEW isn't for you. They've hit all the SJW talking points in the months prior.

Inclusivity (gays and transgender), equal pay for women, healthcare for all(but not really), etc...

All I know is that the camera work gives me fricking vertigo so I stopped watching

Who's bright idea was it to have a quick pan-in every movement for 60 minutes?

I have no idea how well AEW will fare and I’m not sure how anyone could as we really don’t know much about what it’ll look like but it’s interesting to me that these conditions sound awfully similar to what was going on when WCW hit its boom

Obviously, a lot will have to go right for anything like that to happen but it’s interesting at the least

I was just reading a Wrestling Observer from March 2001 when that shithead Jamie Kellner took WCW off of TBS and TNT. Feels kinda surreal now.
