I hope the virtue signaling places start to lose asspiles of money. You'll find out real quick just how virtuous they are.

Maybe they are catering to the people that still love masks and will only go places that require them.
Just yesterday, I saw a place that requires shoes and a shirt for service. What a bunch of uptight assholes.

Because this was never about "Science". It was always about virtue signaling and being better than the "trumpers".

That pool of people is small and getting smaller.
I get people from both sides of the fence (and have them working for me) that absolutely hate masks and want nothing to do with them.
Used to think it was a political thing.
Then I realized it's a virtue signaling thing. See David Hogg.

While I agree that restaurants shouldn't require it and it's a mother fricking stupid rule, they should have the right to decide whether to require masks or not. That's literally all I wanted all along. Whether they want them or not, it should be their decision right, not the fricking governments. Should have been that way since the beginning. If places I want to go to has it, I go somewhere else that doesn't have it. Simple.

What’s sad is I know a lot of business owners who wanted to lift the mask policy weeks/months ago but they were 100% scared of a pack of Karens signaling them out on Facebook.
If I was some retailer, I wouldn’t want a post on a community forum about my business with 50 comments from deranged people calling me a “murderer.” Easier to go with the flow and avoid the lynch mob. What a shite position be in after this past year.

But even at those places once you sit and where you spend 98% of your time once in the restaurant you don't have to wear one. So what's the point other than howling at the moon?

Some have even got really huffy, asserting quite forcefully that they own the place and will not buck any dissent.
Post the restaurants that are requiring masks?

I feel like a stickied thread posting all the restaurants that require masks would really benefit people around here

Maybe the owner feels that his community is still hesitant about going maskless. At some point, they will drop the requirement. Until then, you can always choose to go somewhere else.

Oh, so now we hate private businesses having a right to do what that want to do?
Sounds like they weren’t the first to get “huffy”

Private business should be able to do what they want. Vote with your wallet and be vocal. Give management feedback.

Just go somewhere else. They can do what they want.

Two things...
These restaurants are located where ?
Don’t go there

Restaurant masking was always stupid. You have to take the thing off to eat, so what's the point?

Yeah it never made a bit of sense logically. So if any restaurant is still requiring it then it's purely virtue signaling.
And I'll just avoid.

Not a restaurant but cvs on Jefferson and bluebonnet (Baton Rouge). Avoid it.

Yup. Went in there last week and the woman behind the counter jumped me
I left what I was buying on the counter and walked off. Went down to Rouses and bought what I needed
It is over. It is going to take a little time for some to accept that, but it is the truth
