When my daughter was living in a town of 2,000 people in Texas, the stadium held 10,000 and someone had to die to get a ticket. 100% season ticket holders. Every farmer/racnher living outside city limits went to the games.

Looks like they even have a yell leader in cut off overalls. Cringy.
and they wonder why fullbacks and linebackers traded in their neck rolls and wide receivers and QBs started painting their nails

Texas produces NFL players at the US per capita national average. Whole lot of money for average results.

That's because Texas is 40 percent Mexican. If you're looking at any football talent-related statistic, you have to control for Mexicans. Parkview was the king of Georgia high school football 25 years ago and now their program is in the shitter, because Parkview is majority Hispanic and Asian now.

Did they rip Ohio State’s fight song and make it their own?

it's pretty concentrated and high level. Sure, there are a thousand small programs with no NFL players that bring it to the national average though.
well yeah that’s kinda how averages work.

Same as the others 49 states in the union.

Guess you were just solidifying the point that Texas talent is average at best.

I like that I can still recognize 120 teams’ fight song all these years later thanks to playing early 2000s NCAA football on ps2

In a couple of years, they'll be in the NIL Semi Pros at a university near you.

A lot of schools share the same fight song… you remember the obvious ones LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame etc.

I wonder how the academics is for the non football students. Also how can a public school justify having a laser light rig?

The academics are top tier as well. Allen has over 5200 students this year. Historically the band has had over 600 students. When we lived in Frisco we used to call it Allen university.

My wow factor was the amount of time and effort for putting on such a production. I have some experience in this area from church etc. and that took a lot of planning and work to make all that happen for a pep rally.

Because West and South Texas bring down their average

Are they that expensive? That’s what happens when you have one big school in the district and not three small ones

I’d say most fight songs in high schools are ripped off of a college. Notre Dame and Wisconsin are extremely popular.
