Wow, now using my old iPhone 4 as my alarm clock. Technology is awesome.

Got rid of the large ihome clock radio on my nightstand, downloaded the alarm clock hd app to my old phone, and am currently using a smaller ihome device as a docking station but will purchase a simple docking station for the 4 when I go to the apple store....Again, technology wow just wow.

Let me guess, you posters have been doing something similar for years now. I'm so far behind in the world we live in.

I keep my current phone on my nightstand too (not charging) cuz I wake up in the middle of the night and I'll surf...mostly watch stuff on YouTube with my Bluetooth ear piece in.

Not joking.

jmcs, I want the small docking station to keep my phone upright so I can view the time, that app stays on constantly and I've even dimmed the brightness so that the lighting is very soft....it's perfect

That is a good idea. In the middle of the night I have to reach for my phone & hit a button to know the time. I usually drop it & have to get out of bed to find it so I can hear the alarm go off.

What kind you thinking about getting?

Or you could roll over and just ask me nicely what time it is and how many hours you have left to sleep

It's just a simple small docking station that is shown on the apple retail store site for the 4, they also make them for the 5. They cost about $30.

I'd post a pic, but I'm on my iPad now and don't wanna go through the trouble.
