I don't think there is any doubt about this. A subordinate who worked under me when I was a manager is a Chinese national. He eventually got his PhD. He was anxious to get put into Green Card status. I often wonder why the hell he really wanted to stay in the US? He was a good guy anyway.
And by the way, achieving Green Card status for Chinese national was not easy to do. There are all kinds of hoops to become a permanent legal resident. It seems the southern border is a much easier way.

I had an acquaintance in college who I believed was Chinese intelligence.
I was told to avoid the Chinese students in general but he really set off my alarm bells. He was, inquisitive.
He went into finance and now has a position with the Council on Foreign relations.
The Chinese engage in industrial scale theft, and its everything their expats get involved with.

China is also directly responsible for the SJW movements you are seeing at colleges across the country too.
Our friends on the left are more than happy to oblige.
Hell, several Dem senators had known Chinese spies on their staffs for decades and nothing was done about it.
