I don't really care because i'll be dead.

But i'd want her to be happy, whatever that is.

Why wouldn't you? I trust my wife's judge of character so I'd assume she'd pick a new spouse that would raise the kids similar to how I do.

What's the alternative? Her be a lonely widow for 40+ years?

I used to think my wife had great judgement, right up until she decided to marry me. Now everything she decides is suspect.

If it makes her happy, sure.

There was a judge in North Louisiana whose wife died and he married her sister. The cousins became step siblings.

Sure.

Wife #1, before she died, gave me permission, even encouragement, to remarry.

I did and it's great.

Marrige is what you make it. Cultivate well and you'll reap a good harvest.

My wife makes good decisions.

I would want her happy.

As long as the new guy does not spend all my money that I want to be for her and my kids.

Screw that guy.

Yes I’m dead as long as she is happy and content I’d definitely be hurt and upset when she tells people she is as happy as she has been in her life which I think would entirely possible and probable when marrying later in life and kids are gone that she will be much happier not having kids and being able to travel and enjoy the good things in life like traveling more and moving to a vacation type home and live the rest out surrounded by grand babies at the end.

Will suck not to be there for that bad, if still be happy for her and want that for her

If that would make her happy, sure. I won't be there anyway. But she says if anything happens to me she is not remarrying, that she doesn't want to train another husband
