Would you want to know where a business stand on issues?

I seent a FB post floating around where a business owner fired his employees for engaging in political like debate under the branding of the company. At first I was 100% no question all in agreement with the owner that business should be separate of any political hot topics that could jeopardize the business or alienate a particular customer.
Then I also got to thinking, what if a business vastly disagrees with my lifestyle, my choices, my religion, anything that makes me an individual but chooses to keep that information private from their business but yet willingly and readily takes your money and enriches their pockets.
Although people may not like Chick-fil-A expression of their corporate beliefs, I can appreciate their honesty. And people can decide themselves if they want to support a business that does that.
I will try to post the FB if I can find it again.
Employee wanted owner to participate in blm. Owner accuses them of sabotaging website because he didnt want to jeopardize his business. Employee feels like owner has a voice and should use it whether it alienates customers or not.
My question was if a business decided to take a side on something you didnt agree with would you not shop or not work there? Or if they have those feelings of something you did not agree with but choose not to sure it. How would that make you feel knowing you are a supporter/customer of theirs?

That wasn't even their corporate beliefs. Just the beliefs of the CEO.

You're thinking way too hard about this. Either way, you're not making a difference so just buy the shite you want.

Everything is political, amirite?

That’s where we stand right now as a country, every corporate ad can have a political slant, but you can get fired or kicked out of college for taking a conservative stance. Liberal is okay though
I miss the good old days when people just left their politics out of shite. That would be for the best

Neither does voting amirite?
It was more of a thought provoking. Clearly something you are incapable of

Well staying a part of something like that kind of includes you into those beliefs.

Not really. I don’t like how businessmen and women can’t separate politics from business. Be ethical, follow the law and treat your employees with respect. Take a stand off the clock.

Maybe I miss the mark. But the question. I was asking are you ok with making the person who hates you very very rich by shopping there or working for them?

Keep politics and religion out of the workplace and you don't have this issue.

This would only happen at a private school, one where the student agrees to the schools rules beforehand. That can go the other way too, e.g. BYU.

Businesses that take a stand risk losing sales due to it. They all should project a neutral stance, at all times, and like previously said, take their stance to their own time through charity work, or donations. I do not shop at Starbucks , Target, and Nike. They made a choice to push a political agenda against my beliefs, therefore, get little to none of my money.

I try to never solicit anybody’s political leanings.

They also get quite a lot of pushback. But they were just example of how they don't completely go silent on topics

I do this every day. I couldn’t care less what you believe in, sign on the dotted line.
