I would. My girlfriend trusted me to find our house in New Orleans. I'd do the same for her. We have the same wants out of a house.

I did. First house we ever purchased. She found it on a Saturday morning, called me at work, put an offer in that afternoon that was accepted. Great house, huge lot, 16x24 storage building on a slab. Lived there for about 5 years.

I bought a new house about 3 weeks ago.
She did all the research and I went with her to look at the ones that made the "final cut". She has good taste and we got an awesome house. Of course she did pick the absolute top end of the budget. Haha

Sure. My wife saw the house we bought before we were married and it went off the market. After we got married, it came back on the market and we both looked at it and liked it.

I'd let her pick the house, but I get to set the rules on logistics. I have rules I like to keep on specifically where the house is at for various reasons (driveway that doesn't slope down, would much rather be set up to take a right vs. a left onto a 4 lane busy road with no traffic signal, etc...)

Yes I would. We frequently go to open houses and know exactly what the other wants and we pretty much have the same styles and ideas for the dream house.
It's more of her dream house and my dream shop out back but whatever haha

Maybe, my wife is pretty financially savvy for a woman. However, I work in the real estate industry and know a lot more than her. If I did something else, I would probably let her handle it.

I would, we have similar tastes in regards to what we want out of a home and both have most of the same "must haves" type list for any home we would want.
However....could I write down some of my "must haves" on his arm in sharpie just in case(since you are not allowed any contact during the 3 weeks)?

We've built 4. She drew 2 and hired the architect for the other 2 of them so not a problem. She also laid wood floors, nailed shingles, hung Sheetrock, insulated and painted to name just a small amount of what she can do.

I think I would trust her, but I would be nervous. She's budget conscious, but I'm not sure she would have the number savvy to maximize financing and get the most house for our money in the best location. I trust her completely to get us something that looks nice, suits our needs, and is in a great location, but maybe not get the best possible deal on it.
As for her trusting me, I think she would trust me on price, location, and exterior, but she might not love the layout or the interior finishings of the house I'd pick. However, she'd know that we could always remodel it after the fact.

Pretty close to my scenario but she found the house also. I don't much care what house I live in right now as long as it's in a good neighborhood and her and my daughter are happy and safe. I have property in the country to build a retirment home on and a fishing camp to hold me over til then.
