Mine is a 2025 Cadillac CT5-V sedan with the premium luxury package.

It comes free with Super Cruise, one of the highest rated self driving platforms available in any CE car. No subscription required. They even give you 3 years free WiFi which is needed to operate SC. After three years you have to subscribe and it’s $25/month.

I was looking at MB s550, Audi Q7, A8, and Lexus but none had the tech features of a Cadillac. I never envisioned buying one but all the tech was much better than the others. I only keep a vehicle about 3 years anyway so why not? Much better price too

Until the computer can handle defensive driving skills and not just take your granny to her hair appointment.

This is trash science.

Sure, I would like to ride in one. I would prefer it to have some type of emergency shutdown, though!

Nope. I don't even like being in a car I'm not driving.

Same reason I don't fly.

If it sees something stopped ahead of you or in your lane it has an auto-braking function that will activate. Depending on how close it is, the braking can be very intense. Even when not using the self driving feature the auto braking feature will engage. I was driving through a construction area and a worker with some tools was standing to close to my lane and my car slammed on the brakes. It’s amazing tech already and is improving at an exponential rate. New roads and features are in updates to Super Cruise downloaded through WiFi.

Driverless does not mean wreckless.

Not good enough. The driver, not a computer, is aware. Based on his/her experience, may enter into a situation that your laptop can’t handle.

Not all road conditions begin at or in your lane in front you.

You should do some research. These cars change lanes by using cameras and lidar to look behind to see if cars are coming from behind before pulling out into the passing lane. I saw a dash cam video of a deer in the road and a Tesla slowed, maneuvered around the deer, all without the driver touching the wheel or brakes. I’ve come to the conclusion you have no clue on this topic.

If the adoption of autonomous driving means the end of billboard lawyers and their annoying TV ads, then sign me up. I actually hope autonomous driving on a mass scale happens sooner for that very reason.

Sure. I don't see why not. They are far safer than ones with drivers

The average person will not be able to afford one for at least another decade, and they won't be ubiquitous for another decade beyond that.

And lawyers will always find another angle buddy

Poppycock. $50,000 gets you into a new Tesla model 3 with full self driving. Tax rebate of $7500 lowers price to $42,500. People are paying twice that for pick up trucks. And by the way you can get super cruise in most Denali packages.

You should think on your own. The computer cannot react to every contingency, nor make decisions a trained and untrained human mind can make. Especially in the time dictated by an emergency situation.

You are making claims you are incapable of defending.
