Increase retirement age by 2-5 years. But would work 5 to 10 hrs less per week and way less stress.

More time with family but quality of life with the family would go down. Would go from being very comfortable financially to just barely comfortable

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

less stressful and working 5-10 hours less per week aren't necessarily the same thing. I have a stressful job but usually don't work a full 40 hour week. 9 hours or so monday through thursday and a few hours friday morning.
I like the stress, it keeps me sharp.
To answer your question, no I wouldn't

It sounds like you need a vacation to clear your head. Spring fever

I would like a job that when I leave the office at the end of the day, and on weekends and holidays I dont have to answer my phone or emails/text.....but I work for myself and my livelihood depends on it.....I'd much rather the way it I have it than have to work for someone else.

How about finding a job that can allow you less stress, more time with family for more pay than the stressful one. I left my last stressful job that paid less and found one that paid me more and gives me all the great things you listed. Just a thought but you may have to move to do it.

5 to 10 hours is nothing really, so no.

Would i move to a different profession where my work stayed at work for 20% less? Hell yes.

I'm facing a decision where I can probably increase my pay by 20% with more added stress and longer hours. I'm struggling with it to be honest.

With a family, take the less stressful job and downsize your expenses where you can.

If I have enough to be comfortable and meet my needs, I would take a better quality of life. Work and money are important, but enjoying the one life we have on Earth is also just as, if not more, important.

No. If I had any less stress in my job, I could actually sleep on it.

I deal with that too but on the flip side I can not be at the office during the week and still "work"

Essentially what I am doing. Going from 60-70 hours a week to 40 (paid by the hour now thank god). Will take less pay, but I’ll also be living near Disney and beaches. First child is expected on September 3rd. Life was miserable working so much and I was drinking a ton. Want to have this baby come out to a happy father who will have time for him.

Same here..I have to stay one step ahead of the competition and the stress helps me stay motivated and focused.

for me it's not always about the money..it's about winning and being the best at what I do in the industry I'm in, as well as keeping up a good reputation.

Same here, I dont "have" to be at the office....Im actually at home today..I can pretty much work from where ever...It's just that when I'm not at the office or at home and I'm trying to play....it seems like I'm often trying to do both and the struggle is real
