Yes. The federal, state, and local drug law enforcement is nothing but the arms and legs of big tobacco, big alcohol, and politicians who benefit from the drug dealers.

no. crime wouldn't skyrocket, usage would.
the dirty secret of prohibition era USA is that it worked. usage plummeted. alcoholism, alcohol related accidents, work productivity all improved. it took years after prohibition ended for usage rates to rebound.
the effects of increasing hardcore narcotic usage in our society would be devastating. sure, crime related to the drug trade would improve, but what would liberalized drug usage do to families, the military, business, safety etc.
it would be a massive net negative.
the dirty secret of prohibition era USA is that it worked. usage plummeted. alcoholism, alcohol related accidents, work productivity all improved. it took years after prohibition ended for usage rates to rebound.

Legalize marijuana maybe but not all.

Decriminalize usage, place an emphasis on rehabilitation for addicts, but keep or increase penalties for dealing and creating drugs like meth, crack, pcp, and heroin illegal.
Not all drugs are created equal. Hyper addictive and destructive drugs should not be readily available for consumption.

Yes.
I don’t think America has the stomach for that degree of laissez faire regarding personal rights; if it did we wouldn’t have had any support for these lockdowns.

If you asked the previous four posters if they support personal freedom they'd no doubt say yes. Until you put an issue to them. Then it's all big brother government must protect us from ourselves, we aren't responsible for our own actions.

True. Unfortunately a large percentage of the homeless population in this country are very mentally ill people desperately self medicating and we destroyed most of the places they could seek help.
Schizophrenics, extreme bipolar, manic depressive, etc... it’s sad.
