Not that most care at this point anyway, but I'd be curious if STD's mainly AIDS and hep would increase because of this? If neither sex is worried about getting pregnant, the unprotected sex rates would soar.
In before everyone says 'win win'. But those doctor bills for stds would be very high also.

I should have done it last year when it was inexpensive. In 2016 it costs me $1500 since the affordable health care kicked in. I'm set and would love the program

The people who have unprotected sex by and large aren't currently worried about getting pregnant. I don't think it would increase all that much. Maybe a small bit.

The government should have free sterilization clinics and provide free birth control of any form to anyone who wants it.
But there is always the crowd who hates the thought that someone, somewhere might be having fun (sex, weed, etc.) without the prospect of negative repercussions such as pregnancy or jail.

I support personal responsibility.
Having said that, being a fiscal conservative sometimes means you have to be a realist. While I personally would love to see severe restrictions in welfare, especially the current incentive we have in our welfare system that encourages having more kids... I don't see any major changes happening.
This would be a solution to drive down unwanted pregnancies which tend to lead to welfare use. And considering we already pay for birth control, I don't see what the big deal is. The snip snip is not a terribly complex procedure.

I've argued for 5 years that this is the best way to curb the growing fatherless demographic that is plaguing our major city centers
not only do you pay for it, you offer them $5000 on top of it
the cash incentive combined with the knowledge that they wont have to worry about anymore unwanted children would be a huge draw

for the mothers of the children, but the fathers of those children are rarely in their lives and if anything tey just have to worry about child support enforcement

I paid $125 for a vasectomy this past year
it was great
but I''ll be paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for my three kids for the next 20+ years
