I prefer B. But the big problem would be that a lot of kids would grow up in extreme poverty. I hate to see kids suffer the consequences of their parents' poor decision-making. Sterilization of mom/dad would at least apply the "punishment" where it belonged.

Is it my God-given right to not be forced to pay for them?

This is exactly what Bob Barker preached about for years, only with humans.

Can you imagine what it would be like for the children to grow up in their household if the parent(s) were only paid for one or two of them. The children would be the first ones to suffer.

That's the problem. Even if you take away an assistance program that incentivizes having kids, these people are so selfish that they really won't give a shite. You will have kids living much worse than they do now because having 20 kids gives the selfish mom a better chance at having a little lebron. The entire culture is sick.

I can much more easily get behind programs that removed kids from the household and inserted them into an environment much more conducive to learning.

Our current "system" sucks for those kids and we are too lenient on those types of parents, but a serious overhaul (and unfortunately alot of money) could still save alot of them.

I know this would never be able to get enough support to actually happen, but man it would probably help our country a lot.

The guys who wrote this say hello.

Nope, as long as you live in the USA.

No. Furthermore, I would die fighting in the revolution that started as a result of the passage of that law.

A better question is whether you will or will not support the first politicians whose platform includes greatly increased incentives for couples to have the children that will be necessary to support our aging population.

Something will have to happen eventually as the problem will only get worse. I just don't think the solution will ever be to make it illegal to have kids.

FOAD

What exactly goes on in your mind that would make you think you had the right to do such a thing?

the main issue i have is anytime you start talking about getting the population off welfare and into the workforce you always hear people say "But what about the kids!" they'll starve.

What's the answer? Asian cultures have it right. They're very efficient, their governments do not put up with no bullshite and look at the marvelous culture most of them have.

Communist China wasted a generation figuring out your idea is a huge mistake.

Communist China placed a premium on having boys because of their cultural inclinations, which has caused a disproportionate amount of men to women in China. America does not have those same hang ups. Additionally, China's program failed spectacularly because they have little to no access to the rural Chinese communities where people with little to no access to contraceptives are having kids and need to have children because of the agricultural aspect of their livelihood.

The United States is in a far different situation than Communist China, particularly Communist China of the 1980's and 90s prior to their recent economic growth.

I'm not giving a blueprint, but I am saying that, theoretically, the idea would work.

Sorry I'm rustling the jimmies of the freedom loving Americans. I'd rather a stable economy and lower class than the misconception that we are actually "free."

You care about poor children so much that you would rob them of existence.

Before you get a welfare check, cheese, or an ebt card, you get an IUD.

That should take care of a lot of things.
