Would you stand in hour long lines for Dairy Queen?

A Dairy Queen just opened in Lafayette earlier this week, and for the opening there were multiple lines wrapped around the place with cops directing traffic.

Still, later in the week, the lines of cars are stretched out down Johnston Street..just for some damn ice cream in a cup that has DQ on it.

What the hell is wrong with people? Sonic might not be as good, but to go through all of the trouble..not worth it.

Spare me the "caring about what other people do" line, thanks.

It's what the masses do. I don't get it. Just wait til Lafayette gets an Olive Garden (if you don't already have one). The hysteria will be off the charts.

It was literally the same way in Baton Rouge when the location opened on Sherwood. Traffic was backed up because the line extended down Sherwood Forest. Was like that for a week, maybe more.

I've only had DQ once, and what I ate didn't make me want to sit in a line.

Yeah I mean, I'll go to DQ. But I'm not gonna wait in a long arse line for it. People are just overreacting.

When the new Steak and Shake opened in Athens...good lord. They had police directing traffic in and out of that parking lot for a good 2-3 weeks it seems.

And I still haven't been.

There's a DQ in central. It gets decent business but I don't know if its ever had a line. Weird.
