that's no BS.
Utah is the only place in the world where I will get full before I get drunk. The alcohol content in beer is higher on military bases than it is in public places.

Go for it. I've heard great things about Salt Lake City. (A friend of mine who is Jewish and from the Bay Area came real close to moving there.) And I hear fallen Mormon women like non-LDS guys. Like if you're black, Latino, Asian or European -- anything other than an average white man -- you'll do just fine.

False. SLC and Park City put out fantastic beer.

I would absolutely consider SLC as a 20 something. Gorgeous city.

World class skiing, fly fishing, big game hunting, mountain biking, off roading, etc. Mormons are good people.

Sure, if you enjoy "pure" women who don't have sex until marriage and are generally unattractive, in an entertainment scene that primarily consists of people that don't drink alcohol, coffee, or tea. I think for fun there they play bible trivia. Sounds like a great time for normal guy

That's more Provo/Orem. And they have ice cream socials and scavenger hunts in addition to bible study.

No kidding. Bunch of blue-eyed, blond babes. And while some of them stick to their religious scruples, there are also some closet freaks out there. Like any religion, they have differing levels of dedication.

SLC has a serious homeless problem. I'm here right now on business.

However, only about 40% of SLC are Mormons.

The scenery is amazing and it's only a short drive to the slopes. Much easier than Denver to get to the mountains.

Based on my high school years, I absolutely don't want my daughters going to St. Josephs or St. Micheal....

I would point out that if the financial benefit is minimal, it doesn't seem worth the time and trouble of moving away from family and friends

UNLESS:

They are the reason you are ready for a change.

Follow your heart

A one week visit to SLC is in order

Good luck!

When my non-mooormon aunt lived in SLC in the nineties all the mormon neighbors would throw their liquor bottles away in her curbisde garbage can in the middle of the night before garbage collection.

The whole goody goody schtick is to vet people before letting them in that little mafia-esque racket they have going on. I mean come on, if you won't put on the special undies you might do something stupid like talk to the FBI should they ever knock on your door investigating the tax practices of fellow ward members.

In a heartbeat. I have two different friends who moved there over 10 years ago and never left. We have a group that visits each year for an early spring ski trip and I always enjoy the city. We've seen the city progress big time over the last 10 yrs. There are still some archaic laws but you can work around things. It all depends on what type of lifestyle that you find appealing. If you like skiing or snow boarding, it doesn't get much better. You're 30 mins. from 1/2 dozen world class ski areas. Clean, not much crime, stunningly beautiful, and a solid airport with plenty of direct flights.

No first hand experience, but have a few friends who were stationed there in the military. They had a lot of stories about the morman chicks. Said there were a lot of smoking hot ones and they were freaks. Said they would treat you like a king trying to make you fall in love and get them the hell out of there.

I's say go have fun, and be mindful.
