So listen to an album in your house. You don't get to dictate how someone else enjoys a concert
But you do by standing?

It's a concert not a tea party!

Depends on who I’m seeing. A really hype high energy band that I want to dance or mosh to, I want to be standing near the stage. If it’s a more chill act, I want a seat.

It depends on a lot of things
My last concert I was on the floor at The Smoothie King and most everyone stood the whole time.
Generally, the fans on the floor are long time fans so they want to stand. Feels more respectful to the band IMO.
People in the stands probably do some of both. Sit and stand. You know they stand for that most popular songs. Just kidding. Not every true fan wants to be on the floor.
So weird to have actual chairs set up on the floor. Not like the 90’s floor.

I'm old but not dead yet. If I don't think I can carve out a space for me and my hot woman to dance, I'm not interested. Therefore, I don't typically do large concert venues, unless they are outdoors.

I sit but I buy tickets in the higher area where sitting is normal.

I would rather sit and enjoy the seat that I paid for. Shouldn’t have to stand up for hours just because people in rows in front of me feel like standing up
Then get tickets in the front row if you want to sit

for those who are shitting on the sitters, what exactly are you achieving by standing that you cant do sitting?
What are you achieving by sitting?

Are you so out of shape that you can't stand for an hour or 2? Otherwise, there's no issue with standing.

if so people hate you
Are you going to Celine Dion concerts or some shite? The concerts I go to, sitters are the extreme minority.

No

Everyone can do whatever they want. That's the beauty of it.

If you stand, you're forcing the person to either look at your arse or stand themselves. But, by all means, keep being a self-centered dick.

I got my wife John Mayer tickets for her birthday. The fricking 22 year olds in front of us were dancing their asses off at like the most mellow songs ever. I was pissed and felt old . Just wanted to chill and watch it.
