Last night I was watching the College World Series and they panned to a shot in the stands where an entire high school or travel ball team was all rocking flat bills with their sunglasses resting on the bill.
Monday Night I was at a restraunt and about 8 guys from high school baseball team came in all sporting flat bills. I wanted to punch them all in the face.
I think it looks really really tacky and dumb. You might as well tape a giant dildo ontop of your head while you are at it, it looks that ridiculous.
I will never let my son wear a flat bill.
At the very least go with the MLB look where there is a slight curve in it. But the completely flat, 0 degree angle bills look stupid, especially when there is a pair of sunglasses resting on it.
If you're going for functionality, flat bills are way more functional on a baseball field. Now, the guys wearing flat bills crooked or just resting on top of their head for fashion instead of function are fricking retarded.
For a ballplayer:
Flat bill is very functional. Blocks sun and helps keep sunglasses resting.
For a normal fricking person:
fricking dumb.
However, I couldn't care less.

My BIL is 10, and he loves flat bills and high socks. I make fun of him every chance I get
Are they black socks? Apparently, that is a requirement now as well.

Why do so many on this board give a frogs fat dick how another person chooses to wear their hat? It blows my mind how so many of you get worked up over the most trivial stuff.
Guess what...if you don't like the flat bill look, don't bend your fricking bill and move on. If they choose to keep their bill straight, that's their right to do so and you, or anyone else, don't have the right to give them shite about it.
You sound like a bunch of fricking girls. Get over yourselves.

I rock the hell out of some snap-backs. I'll pass on the high socks though.

This guy known as the "Babe" laughs at all you flat bill haters:
He does have plenty of photos with hats slightly curved, but he definitely rocked a lot of flat bills in his day.
I am 28, and keep my bills relatively flat. Slight curve, not straight across. If you try to curve the current New Era 59FIFTY that all these teams wear, you are guaranteed to look like a complete idiot.

Did you miss the part where he asked "your son". So while it may or may not be right, yeah they do have a "right" as father. If my kid wanted to walk around in a cheesy tank top, I would absolutely have a word with him.

Flat bills are all part of the script

I agree with this 100 percent. fricking hate flat bills. I was pulling against Fowler this past weekend because he wears those fricking flat bills.
If my son wore one I'd grab that shite off his head and he would never get it back. Trashy, awful, disgusting, etc.......

This really makes me laugh how mad you guys get over this.
It's a hat.
It's a hat.

You should win father of the year, and I mean that in the most sarcastic way possible

Flat bills are 1000x better than those "COCKS" hats that looked like they were found in a septic tank then sent through a wood chipper with a fake fish hook on it, that were so popular when I was that age. I mean seriously. It's not even close.

THISSS.... i told my son he looks like a punk... the bill is so flat now he looks like he plays volleyball.... i guess it's better than backwards/sideways with pants saggin..........this is at least a white culture thing

You do realize baseball players "stole" the idea from "black culture", right?
Posted on 6/18/14 at 10:49 am to goldennugget
Hell NO, my son should wear tight rolled jeans and parachute pants, just like I did!!
Posted on 6/18/14 at 10:49 am to thesoccerfanjax
they aren't wearing them sideways... no tags left on hat... not wearing it backwards... basically they buy a hat and put it on there head without bending it... how is this "stolen" from black culture?
Posted on 6/18/14 at 10:54 am to kuhlman187
You do realize some hats are specifically built to NOT have the bill bent? If you are buying one of these hats, and not bending the bill, in modern times that came from black culture.
Posted on 6/18/14 at 10:59 am to thesoccerfanjax
The hats you see players get at the the draft, after bowl games, super bowls, or any other event similar in nature are hats that are designed not to have the bill bent

Gotta let it go, man. I wore doc martens and a woven leather belt in jr high. I'd never let my kids wear that.
