Would you let your 5 year old play in a youth league game with low grade fever?

My kid has had a fever of around 100.5-101.8 at the highest during the night. She missed the first game with fever and now it’s happening for the second time in a row. She feels fine but my wife says no even if it’s 99.3. It’s currently a little above 99.
ETA: clarified the title and OP a little more.

My god. When dad wants to win more than the health of his child. Travel ball is serious business

No, maybe make this a chance to teach the daughter that the world isn't always fair

Are you seriously considering this?

It’s people like you that are the reason viruses spread. Thanks.

It’s currently a little above 99.

The average body temperature is 98.6 F (37 C). But normal body temperature can range between 97 F (36.1 C) and 99 F (37.2 C) or more. Your body temperature can vary depending on how active you are or the time of day. Generally, older people have lower body temperatures than younger people have.
The following thermometer readings generally indicate a fever:
Rectal, ear or temporal artery temperature of 100.4 (38 C) or higher
Oral temperature of 100 F (37.8 C) or higher
eta- although I can't tell from your post whether she was over 100 this time or for the last game.

It’s not like she’s going to get those scholarships by laying down in bed all day baw

That’s a good way to put her in the hospital, overexerting herself with a sickness. This isn’t Michael Jordan in the NBA Finals (though he was hungover, not actually sick). This is a 5 year old tee ball game
