Would You Drive This? 1942 GMC CCKW 2½-ton 6x6 truck (Apocalypse Rig)

Meet the 1942 GMC CCKW 2½-ton 6x6 truck
GMC cranked out nearly 600,000 of these rigs in two plants (Michigan and Missouri) in the 1940s. These beasts were used by Allied forces during World War 2. The CCKW was a prominent fixture of the Red Ball Express and the Normandy invasion. Many would see a return to service during the Korean war.
D-Day:

The GMC CCKW is powered by a 270 cubic inch I-6 gasoline engine. It's 6 wheel drive, has a 5 speed transmission with a 2 speed transfer case, and can carry 2 and a half tons across nearly any terrain. It has a top speed of 45 mph, and runs just fine on almost gasoline you can find.

It's unlikely that any EMP attack could impact this truck, and it's pretty simple to maintain and repair. Some of them have a soft top, others are converted into amphibious duck boats (not recommended for tour companies).
Creature comforts are definitely on the low side. Your back will hurt after about 30 minutes with this rig even on a smooth road - and I'm not sure if this could legally be used on an American highway.

I think you have to double-clutch that particular truck...

Had a contract with the DoD at one point to sell 2.5, 5 ton, h1 (scrap only) and millions of pounds of fired brass.
The 2.5’s can be had extremely cheap. Depending on setup you could get one for a couple g’s.
