Would you drive this? 2021 GMC Yukon/Yukon Denali

Let's be honest. You don't care about the environment that much. You like the idea of a big, heavy vehicle to haul your boats, RVs, and other toys. You love the sound of an inline-6 turbodiesel engine and the feel of a full leather interior. You may not need 10 inches of ground clearance, lockable differentials, or 4+ tons of towing capacity..... but you like the idea of it.
Any truck or SUV you drive should not be too utilitarian. They should have a splash of chrome, some fancy trick features, and ride on a height adjustable air suspension. And the dealership should definitely offer 5+ year financing. Maybe even 6.
That's why you want something like the 2021 GMC Yukon.
Hard to beat this if you like the idea of annoying environmentalists and triggering Ford fanboys.

Along with the standard trim levels and top of the line Denali that makes up the most of Yukon sales, GMC has added an AT4 model that provides the most off-road capability in the lineup with 33-inch all-terrain tires, skid plates and tow hooks. It can be equipped with a unique two-range 4x4 system that includes an electronic rear differential for added traction on slippery surfaces as well as an air suspension system with four inches of height adjustment.
Hard to beat this if you like the idea of annoying environmentalists and triggering Ford fanboys.

Yes.
Buy the Yukon. Lease the BMW.

Gotta haul the family around to soccer practice. Need that diesel for the low end torque and fuel economy.

If I could get it as cheaply as I got my '99 Tahoe, sure. Why not?

I would drive the frick out of that. But only at 0% down with 0% financing for 180 months.

Why wouldn't I drive one?
It features a massively inflated price tag to go along with all of those features and bulletproof diesel engine.

No, like driving a new aircraft carrier.

I'd drive the AT4 with the diesel all day long.

The aircraft carrier might be easier to park.

I'm partial to the Denali. But the AT4 looks badass.

That same I-6 engine in the half ton Silverado is supposed to be excellent all around. They are going to sell a lot of Suburbans with those diesels.

They will definitely sell a lot of them. They are keeping the plant open during the Covid outbreak BTW.
