For me, personally, it would be a red flag. It doesn't cause problems per se, but it can be a symptom of maturity issues. I don't believe that is some sort of shocking news.

Yet the only reason that "family" got big was through being total and utter trash. Kim is famous because she made a sextape with a black rapper. Her "dad" (is he still a dad now the he/she's a shim?) underwent a sex change for publicity. The mom pimps out her daughters at every turn for publicity. Her daughters hop from celebrity bed to celebrity bed with kids in tow.
You can say they rose up from immigrant roots, but those roots are in a distant universe from the values they stand for now.

I don't believe the cupboard is as bare as you believe, but I could be mistaken. Also, shows like this are a bigger red flag the older the woman is. I would never call it a deal breaker, but it is naïve to act like it isn't a potential symptom of maturity issues. If she's 22 and into it, I guess that can be expected. If she's 27, it is a bigger deal. If she's 32, it is even more worrisome. To act otherwise is ridiculous. If someone like IonaTiger made this thread then he should be scared shitless.
The bottom line is that the OP didn't give us nearly enough information to make any real conclusions, so we're all going to assign our personal experiences to fill in the gaps.
