How could we possibly know it wouldn't?

If you accept the religion-esque interpretation of human beings having souls endowed to us by a creator, what basis would you have to completely rule out that creator doing the same for a robotic based species? A species that may one day surpass our own ability to think, sense, feel and love, in every single way.

If we get to a point where robots have emotions and feel emotional pain then its not the robots that will be the slave.

It'll be us.

Until they make biologic robots.

Either way, if we made them I'm ok with them being "slaves"

I would hope no jackasses would make anything capable of becoming more powerful than humans.

Technology humans created should remain under human control. IMO. We bred dogs to be subservient. No reason we can't design robots to be the same.

If you are talking about introducing dna, or cloning organisms, then I wouldn't consider that a robot anymore.

At what point do they cease being robots and become more?

At which point have we created something that mimics life?

Why use imperfect, unreliable and irrational humans to do a job that dumber bots can do better?

At some point humans will need to be removed from the equation, or at least removed from power, so that robots can accomplish their intended tasks.

What boats and Hoes said

But, for now I'll stick with this definition:

A robot is an automatic mechanical device often resembling a human or animal. Modern robots are usually an electro-mechanical machine guided by a computer program or electronic circuitry.

How are they not? If they have their own awareness and yet are forced into servitude for us, they are the very definition of slaves...

But I suppose when I think about it that would make animals slaves as well.

Maybe a master-slave relationship is the basest dynamic.

When one robot births(has her pussy ripped to her a-hole) another who goes on to be your slave then mama robot shrieks bloody murder and is forever changed and despondent when you forcibly separate them for the remainder of their charge/life.

Smh. Sometimes you really forget how complacently racist you are. Shut up and come drink a beer with me soon.
