I just don't get that sort of thing. I know people who make their SO go to bed when they do.. simply because they are going to bed. That's insane to me.

Let’s say you do go. When she goes to meet her client, you go day drinking. By the time she gets off from work you’ll be buzzing/drunk (if you’re doing it right). Since you’re drunk she’ll assume you had fun and because you were having fun without her, she’ll be mad.
You’ll have a silent lunch and then she’ll yell at you the whole car ride home, all the while you are now sobering up and just want to nap.
Dude it’s your GF. Put the foot down now or else it could end up costing you half your shite years later.

Worse - It sounds like they're driving separately so he can't even get drunk before heading home.

Sounds like you don't like driving.
Look, get a couple of bags of sunflower seeds, some Mountain Dew, and search for some good podcast for the drive in and out of NOLA. The worst that can happen is you drive in, get laid, sleep it off, get laid again in the morning, take a nap, eat lunch then drive home. That's not so bad, right?

7 hour round trip for lunch yeah that's a bit much. But having to spend the morning alone doesn't sound like a problem. Go check out the National WWII museum or something.

People, especially women in their 20's, have no idea what real life is.....they are still living in their little fantasy world.
They're either still living off daddy's credit card, they are gold diggers and think they rule the world, or they actually make their own money and have a real career and futures.
Some even come from very wealthy families and have still gone on to be successful on their own
Not sure what this OP's SO is like but she seems pretty driven and maybe a little immature but that is normal for a 20 something year old.
