Would people in Louisiana ever riot and destroy things in protest?

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see it happening. I feel like Louisiana folks don't give enough of a shite to riot.
I know there was looting after Katrina, but I'm talking about "burning down the Target"-level of rioting. I don't see it happening. Thoughts?

We also don't tear shite up after our sports teams win championships.

I've never been able to figure out that phenomenon.

If Alton Sterling is considered a riot then what is happening in Minnesota and Louisville would be a fricking warzone

we are too busy drinking and eating to worry about all that

I'm still amazed people in MN were able to burn down a police station

Look at the Alton sterling protests. The only reason those gained traction was from the HUGE out of state presence and coordination. As soon as the professional protesters left they could barely get 20 people together to protest. Idk about the rest of the state but Baton Rouge has a pretty unmotivated population.

It's way too fricking hot to riot right now.

I could be wrong, but the rioting, with maybe a few exceptions, seems to be a northern thing.
Like in sports. When northern teams win shite, they fans burn couches and other shite. We just get drunk and celebrate.

OP asked a question about people in Louisiana, not Shreveport

Nah people here don’t give a frick about anything besides football and drinking. It’s both a blessing and a curse

I told this story on here before. But a friend of mine supplies two gas stations in the North Baton Rouge area. When all of that was going down, he was talking to some dude who lived around where the protesting was going on. Dude told him he didn't know where the hell all those people came front. According to him, they protesters were acting crazy.. And him and his friends were at his house bbqing, watching them and laughing.

There was that whole Liberty Place kerfuffle, but that was just a bit ago.

Actually having black people in positions of power helps in the south.
They are actually minorities outside the south and it’s more segregated.
