Would it be possible to invent a new curse word?

If our current profanities continue to become more accepted in society then we won't have words needed to adequately express extreme emotion. New words are invented all the time for normal things but how does one invent a new curse word?

Lots of ethnic slurs were once perfectly acceptable. I like to use those that still operate in the gray area, like chinaman.
