What would it look like if private school parents in BR decided en masse to enjoy the public school educations that they pay for?

Would their kids get to go to their local neighborhood schools?

Would the migration be supported by the admins, faculties, and student bodies?

The schools aren't big enough. Not enough teachers.

3a schools would be 5a schools, at a minimum.

Oh god. This won’t go well.

But St George High would be legit. Baseball powerhouse.

The public schools that are actually good would become battlegrounds. Violence. Tahoes and RX-350s aggressively cutting off each other. Massive increase in youth baseball, which of course would lead to more violence. Also might lead to my kids actually getting into St Aloysius

We public school families don’t want your kind with all your fancy words and good conflict resolution skills and proficiency with math. Keep little Ainsley and Worthington Jr away from Pimp Jr and The Pimpettes.

Woodlawn's enrollment would double overnight.

Eta: And if I'm not mistaken, EBR is already struggling with funds for current students as it is. I heard they had to dip into reserve funds for this year.

School scores would go up. Don’t get me wrong, private schools historically have stronger academics; but would say the people who go there are typically more intelligent as well...

These same kids would also likely not reach their full potential, which is the true issue.

Dumb question. Too unrealistic to get real answers.

Maybe it could be helped along with strong and proactive parental involvement, I assume that tptb would want to achieve the best results for all the children.

What have they done with all the money that they get from people with no correlating expenses attached?
