How is this not the most obvious ‘yes’ ever?

Because a lot of folks are further along than they’d like to be labeled for. The idea that you have to be swigging handles with breakfast is asinine but has been echoed repeatedly.

I would add:

5. Brain cell destruction.

You can Google scientific studies done on brains and see what excessive alcohol consumption does to your brain.

From my experience, it’s usually more than just a 6 pack for a serious alcoholic. It’s not hard to jump from 6 to 9 or 10.

I have a hard time believing that the guy from the OP only drinks 6 beers a day. You don’t start at 6; it’s a level that you work up to and it’s not a stopping point, either. A person who believes they have to drink 6 a day wouldn’t have the control to stop at 6 every night. The friend will never be honest about the number of beers he drinks.

If you have NOT had zero alcohol in last 45 days or CANNOT count more than one of these segments in time over last couple of years…

No matter your proclaimed (heavy, moderate, light) level of drinking…

Might be good time to reflect

I think alcoholism is one of worst isms because of social acceptance (many examples in this thread).

This is what I’ve seen for the most part. You’re probably correct. I don’t want to assume, it’s just very very rare

My question is why.

Bc he died under mysterious circumstances

I wouldn’t call him one, but after I hit 40 I’d feel like arse drinking three or more drinks in one night.
