**ETA…..let me add for the downvoters who probably don’t have much experience with alcoholism (fortunately)……alcoholics drink to get drunk. It’s to dull some other source of pain (physical, emotional, mental, etc). If a person can voluntarily stop at a six pack

on 12/30/22 at 6:05 pm to 308I started having a couple of bourbons 4-5 times a week during the Wuhan and I’m still doing it to today. I rarely get shitfaced, just like the buzz after work most days and I sometimes wonder as well lol.

There is a difference between drinking a lot and being in alcoholic.
I've known alcoholics. I've known heavy drinkers.
I would define myself as an alcoholic who recognizes my issues with alcohol and can force myself to have only maybe 4 or 5 drinks a month without going farther.

Idk about the other ones, but I have numerous acquaintances that easily crush more than five sodas a day.

It was a 12 pack by the time I was in high school - his liver was clear when they did his autopsy
But he did drink a lot of water & coffee also
