Flight attendant. Different city most nights. 'Own' hotel room. Stays in same hotel with other flight attendants and captains/first officers. Plus baggage handlers will hang out at crew hotels to party with them as well. Have two friends (1 first officer and 1 baggage handler) who banged plenty of married flight attendants. 1 eventually married one.

relationships are important but credibility is my biggest asset. I know my data, my competitors data just as well, and I also know when to be honest and say my product may not be the best option, even to the detriment of my sales.

I've been in outside B2B sales for 20 years. This right here is THE most important attribute to have as a salesperson. Credibility is everything; get caught lying to a prospect/customer and kiss your arse goodbye. You can rarely, if ever, get your credibility back. Always better to say, "Let me look into that and get back to you."

Two other traits I learned that set me apart as salesperson- do what I say I will do and treat your customers' money as your own. It would amaze you to see how few salespeople promise to do things and never actually do them. Easiest way I've earned sales. Also, showing respect to customers in terms of their budgets will pay off.

We had some guys come demo equipment to us one day. Was supposed to send pricing later that day. Never got a price/call/email or anything.

It was like, why did you just send 5 guys here to demo equipment?
