My uncle owns a family practice and HATES pharmaceutical sales reps. Hasn’t met face to face with one in forever. They still bring lunch to his office almost every day.

Yeah, circa year 2000, the drug reps were all smokeshows straight out of college. I feel like people take that and apply it to pharmaceutical sales and medical supplies now, which I understand is not how it is. You need a brain and good work ethic to be doing those things these days.

I feel like this is a cross between door to door salesmen and #bossbabes

If they’re giving him and his staff lunch, I think he should still give them 5 minutes of his time.

From what I see on Hinge most of those reps have one or two degrees these days. I’d imagine the pain pill frenzy probably changed that industry.

To answer OP - nurse. Work awful hours, are around miserable middle aged women all day and have a complex about taking orders from doctors.

Whats the worst part, if you don't mind. I haven't been with a nurse but would like to know some red flags if I ever do. Tia.

Well when I started screwing my first nurse, I thought it was love. Wrong. She was just using me to get over another relationship. Dated for 2 years. Well I deployed to Afghanistan and you can figure the rest.
So in retrospect I would say they are fun to date but don’t marry one.
They spend all day getting hit on by physicians, paramedics, make/female nurses and cops. Well the ones that work in hospitals do.
One that works in a Dr’s office might make a good wife.

I have no experience with the other occupations you ask.

It happens in the military too, and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Fraternization and Adultery are notoriously difficult to prosecute.

You not only have to provide proof (either photographic or video evidence or an eyewitness) but you also have to prove that the offense/relationship is counter to good order and discipline.

I’m a female in medical device. It is a terrible industry to be in during this thing. I probably won’t be allowed back in hospitals this year, and our companies are freaking out assigning busy work and making us trying to cram zoom/teams meetings down our customers throats, of which most aren’t interested. And sales have dropped, so most are not making any money if they still have a job.

Are they still not buying medical devices or just sticking with ordering what they previously used?

This is why I'll never get in a serious relationship while in. It doesn't matter if you can't help where you go, its always your fault

As of now, the hospitals in my territory and seemingly region are not ordering anything new. So my products alReady on formulary are being ordered. Any new skus have been put on hold. So all my conversions that should have closed in last few months are just hanging in the balance. My monthly pipeline Reviews are painful... like no, nothing has changed since last month. Absolutely nothing. Sorry!

When my wife and I got engaged, we postponed the wedding until after I returned from Iraq. We figured that, if our relationship could survive a deployment before we were married we would be ok. 15 years and 3 deployments later, we still are.

What doctor gives a frick about that? And when it comes to medical device sales, you’re in fricking surgery with the doctors. While if you’re good at your job you are seen as a partner to these doctors, you are much lower than a nurse for them. If they have to do social distancing, you’re an easy one to cut from that. The doctors will just call you at 6:00 AM from your home asking some questions and then hang up. Plus elective surgeries have been put on hold through much of the country. Good fricking luck being a pharma or medical device rep in this environment.

Nurse
And speaking from experience

My best friend was married to a girl he grew up with. She started screwing a Dr twice her age. Baw kicked her out, took custody of son, and a year later married a woman who takes care of him. So yeah, I second the nurse as the worst.

You may think I'm joking but female correctional officers. I worked in corrections for a couple of years and quite a few females were investigated for fraternizing with inmates.

Saw a piece on a '60 Minutes'-type show about a facility in Maryland, and several female CO's actually got knocked up by this one crime lord.
Yet another job females shouldn't have.
