This is a joke but I actually met someone with a daughter named Yrexellence -- pronounce "Your Excellency". This was one of her fifteen (15) children I had to fill out paperwork for. Then the stupid cow screwed up the forms and I had to do them all over again...

Maternal grandparents were named Herschel and Viola. Paternal grandparents named Rudolph and Lois.

I have a Velma, a Thurl, a Nettie, a Woodrow, and an Elmer just off the top of my head. SIL named her kid Braden.

I know a guy with the last name Cox. A girlfriend refused to marry him unless he took her last name. Her name was Anita.

Not my family, but a friend named her kid Riley Danger. She said he'll be able to say "my middle name is danger" and it be true. Uh ok

I keep waiting for one of my cousins to stick a kid with the name Claude after our grandpa.

Don't see many Claudes running around nowadays.

My paternal grandmother's second husband was named Chandler, we also had a "Sister" as a "half aunt". No one would ever tell me her real name. She later moved to California and disappeared.

My mom’s maiden name is Leak. Her brother is named Richard but goes by Dick. Sometimes the jokes just write themselves.

My mom and dad had to talked her other brother out naming his son Vance Dalton Leak. He didn’t understand until my dad explained to him that his initials would be VD Leak. My uncle Jimbo made Forrest Gump look like a Rhodes Scholar.

Some odd ones, but I wouldn't say they are all bad. Names like Dorothy, Edna, Margaret, etc. were popular 60-70 years ago.

In 50 years the popular 1990s names like Brandon, Jennifer, Meghan, and Matt will be those old people names. Soon after, it will be Mackenzie and Harper that will sound old. Then all the weird Braxtons, Jaxtons, Flaxtons, of the 2010s will be the old people names.
