I don't hate the song but the Bing Crosby/David Bowie duet of Little Drummer Boy is awful.

Biblically asinine song seeing as how Gabriel explained all of this to Mary and the answer is YES she knew.

Of the top 30 most performed Christmas songs in 2015, 13 (43%) were written in the 1930s or 1940s and 12 (40%) were written in the 1950s and 1960s; only five (17%) were written from the 1970s on, two (7%) were from after 1990, and none after 1995. This phenomenon was noted in the webcomic xkcd and referred to as "a massive project to carefully recreate...baby boomers’ childhoods".[34]

What were the two written in the 90's?

Why does a dying woman need a new pair of shoes? The boy is too focused on materialism and not just spending time with his mom.

One was all I want for Christmas is you.

The other was Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24, which is the Trans Siberia orchestra Carol of the bells song... which is Awesome!

Although I don't know that it should count cause it's just a remake.

I only hate 2 or 3 Christmas songs, out of how many there are i would hardly call that miserable. Maybe up your standards

It's interesting that almost all still beloved Christmas songs were written between 1930 and 1960. Most of them being in the 30s and 40s.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas was written in a house near Highland Avenue in Birmingham, AL.

The house is actually off 15th Avenue South near Zydeco in 5 Points, but I believe a lot of his inspiration for the song came from walking down Highland Avenue.

Thank you. It was my wife's favorite until I pointed out how horrible it is. It's like the intention was the write a song that was "sad" to make money instead of making one that makes sense. They should've made the boy cripple while they were at it.
