No, we are a lot smaller than SFDC, but their building is pretty close to ours.

For the record, I’m not actually advocating for everyone’s salaries to be posted. There are privacy concerns there. When I refer to salary secrecy, I’m talking about employees being threatened about telling anyone how much they make, if they got a raise, etc.

If you ever got a bonus it'll times it'll be part of your 'total compensation package'.

The frick is wrong with you today?

Eta: I’m talking about “bonuses” given to equity partners in a firm. The employees of that firm, from secretaries to staff attorneys, have no more need to know how much the “owners” are taking home than the employees of any other business.

But trying to forbid employees from discussing compensation with one another in order to get away with undervaluing people is bullshite.

Post them in the break room for all to see. Encourages transparency from the higher ups and discourages the good ole boy network.

Also incentivizes the brightest and bestest to rise above their colleagues for all to see.

So tired of seeing slackers who affect other's projects get good scores come performance eval time, despite obvious inputs from team members otherwise.

Oh, and while I'm at it, salaries should be posted as well.

Enough of this secrecy bullshite.

Nice subtle "I'm an entitled, socialist-leaning, 'everyone deserves a trophy for participating' snowflake" brag.

Tldr: private industry doesn't share salary information for a good reason.

There is no good reason for the employees.

Why not? Secrecy is good for management only.

Sorry, my company. My rules. Don't like it, find another job.

Now back to work!

Because I have to work with other people. If everyone knew what everyone made, the people who actually deserve it, will never get raises. I see what you’re saying, but that could slide the wrong way really fast.

Why couldn't you get a raise if you deserve it? Hell, you may find out you're underpaid.

It's usually the people making the evals that need a kick in the arse. It's amazing how lazy some people get when they are no longer held to the same standard of accountability. I say that as a supervisor, who does evals frequently. My employees will run through a brick wall.

I already know I’m underpaid. There are lazy dicks who feel like they are entitled to more because they’re older than me or because they lick the right a-hole. It my salary gets made public, I will have to find a new job or my progression stalls entirely brcause they will squeal like a bitch.

ETA: I’m not the only one in that boat. The hard workersb get fricked. The arse kissers get all the benefits.

Have you cured cancer yet, Erving Einstein?

Why did you attack him based on his being a public defender? It is one of the few decent law proffesions.

And to be clear, you can ask anyone who knows me (feel free to ask Mikelbr their names, he’s already informed me that he knows a few ) and they will tell you that I’m extremely proud of the work I do.

With that said, it would be nice if he would relax with the doxxing. While I don’t say anything on here I wouldn’t say irl, there are a host of things I say on here that I would, for instance, be disinclined to say to the media. I am willing to say those things as some random a-hole on the Internet, but at which point the statements I make start reflecting on people and organizations I represent, I would have to significantly reduce the kind of things I post, particularly as it pertains to my field.

Though I’m sure there are a host of people who would welcome that
