Any of you swole baws ever strained your upper back lifting, mine is killing me. All of my muscles are knotted up and every time I move it hurts. Right between my shoulder blades and back of shoulders.

Any remedy for this ?

Use some hot packs for about 15 minutes then lay on a Foam roller up and down the part of the back that is tight for about 5-10 minutes trying to gently extend your upper back as the roller pushes into each vertebrae hoping for a light pop, but if no pop no big deal. Will probably feel better after, but will likely return. If so, repeat the process until it goes away.

or have a small asian woman walk on your back.

Make a back peanut. Two lacrosse balls duct taped together to form a figure eight shaped roller. Your spine will be able to rest between the crease and you can SLOWLY roll down your thoracic spine releasing the muscles that are tight. Be warned, this can suck.

Get a lacrosse ball, lay down and place it in the knotted areas. Apply pressure with your body weight and even move your shoulder through the range of motion.

during the initial inflammation and pain stage you should mainly just rest a lot, use ice frequently and anti-inflammatories

stretching or heat is only going to continue to aggravate the strain(or spasm) and prolong the relief and recovery

only after the inflammation has gone down and pain has subsided substantially should you begin stretching these muscles
using heat before stretching or rehab can help loosen those muscles up to prevent reaggravation, then ice again after

prevention is key with things like this
staying hydrated and thoroughly stretching before excercises throughout the day has 100% prevented my frequent strains and spasms from happening over the least 2-3 years

this is coming from someone who's had many strains/spasms in the neck and back since high school, seen multiple doctors and PT's and finally gotten it down to a science

good luck

Take a muscle relaxer, you'll be right as rain the next day.

Go to www.airrosti.com They will fix you up or at least put you on the best road to recovery. Otherwise, see your GP, get some muscle relaxers, and lay off the weights for 7-10 days.

Yes. You need to work on your scapula mobility and rotator cuff mobility.

LaCrosse ball and stretching later on.

Take a rest day. Ibuprofen. Stretch! Icy/Hot patch couldn't hurt either.
