In my year and counting in the white collar work world that has proven to be extremely true. Work, friends, sleep. That's my 3.

Family #1 -- why do or have anything without loved ones to share it with?
Fitness #2 -- nothing matters if your a fat frick with an early heart attack
Work #3 -- #1 and #2 are just so much better when you don't have to worry about money.
frick sleep, and sorry friends.

Work, Sleep, Family, Fitness, or Friends
Meh, there are easy ways to fit all 5. Step one is not to make work your life; work 40 and let that be it. You can do family and friends at the same time by having friends with kids; it's called having company over for a visit, a foreign concept to millenials, I know. As for fitness, there are jobs that can take care of that for you; if you are unlucky enough to have a desk job, use the extra money you earn to buy some equipment at home, work it in 20 minutes or so in the morning and another 20 in the evening, and you're good.

Family, fitness, work. If my arse is sleeping more than 7 hours and a occasional nap on Sunday. Something is wrong and they better be worried I've gone out again.

You don't get a choice on sleep. And most of us who aren't entitlement children, don't get a choice on work either.

I've started my own company in the last couple months. The fitness/healthy eating has taken the biggest toll. That time I used to spend in the gym is now spent in the office. By the time I'm done, I'm ready to get home and see my family before I go to sleep and do it all over.

I don't require much sleep. The rest I manage

TIME
BALANCE
All can be had
Sleep should be non-negotiable if you value your long term health. There must be a strong reason why evolution has deemed it necessary we spend 8 hours unconscious (think about that for a while). 7.5 to 8 hours /night or being healthy becomes very difficult no matter what else you do.
Fitness - Heavy strength training 2 to 3 day per week (low volume/high intensity) with yoga poses/mindfulness practice/breath work/ mobility work. Pair this with intermittent fasting and you have yourself a very potent program with high return on the time/effort invested. See lsu777 posts on Leangains. Taking the emphasis away from eating frees up more TIME
The bulk/remainder of your time should be spent focusing on what you need to support your lifestyle/family. Work should provide you with what you need to maintain the balance above.
Stress management is the hidden wild card that you have neglected...
It is just as important as sleep.
I know quite a few "broken" successful people (financially/ professionally)

So what is the meaning of Dark Side of the Moon?
Dark Side of the Moon is a concept album that discusses the philosophical and physical ideas that can lead to a person's insanity, and ultimately an unfulfilled life.
The album is a cautionary tale in two parts, the first half describes living a life that goes unfulfilled. This part of the album consists of the following tracks:
Speak To Me/Breathe
On The Run
Time/Breathe Reprise
Great Gig In The Sky
The second half of the album consists of individual songs about different ideas and concepts that are detrimental to society and can lead to madness. These songs are:
Money
Us and Them
A color You Like
Brain Damage
Eclipse
The philosophical ideas in the second half of the album are a sort of madness in their own right. They are also the root causes to the problem mentioned in the first half of the album that focuses on living an unfulfilled life.

I don't run my own business, so I get to enjoy all 5 and live comfortably.
If my job requires me to work longer hours temporarily, fitness and then sleep are the first 2 to go.

I am work, sleep, fitness. I work hard, get at least 9 hours of sleep per night, and workout 4x a week.
I live 2 time zones away from any family.
I have lived in 6 different cities in 5 years since graduating, my line of work means I move a lot, so its hard to make lasting friendships. Add in the fact I live in a shithole liberal city right now so I don't really have interest in making friends here. I've made friends in my past cities I've lived in that I still keep in touch with, but no interest doing so here in Seattle.

Family and friends. I get my fitness outdoors where I also go to maintain sanity. Work and sleep are necessities I would do without if I could.

The Dalai also never said "This person died beautiful and well rested; because they slept 8 hours, never sacrificed their health, and never had anxiety because they lived only for their own self." But said human is just as dead.
Family, work, friends.
