December is our slowest time of the year usually. We'll ramp up in about mid-January.

Busiest time of the year for me, which is much better than being busy in the Spring imo.

The folks that want the ramp up in December are the ones that show up that first week back after new years and act super pumped and ready to take on the new year

In my line of work, people who say that they are extremely busy are either procrastinators or are keeping others off of their back so they can relax before the new year.

Christmas shutdown was the time when we performed the IPL for new hardware in the datacenter, much simpler times now.

McDonalds usually does get busy around the holiday season. People are tired of eating turkey and holiday office food.

They like to stuff their faces with a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder.

True. That first week after new years inbox is bombed with people raring-to-go on stuff that been sitting dormant for months.
