delta - when referring to a remainder
Posted on 6/17/16 at 10:17 am to Hoyt
From a recent training. I heard the following phrases in just five workdays:
-Pressurize the borders of the situation
-Granularity of the operation
-What is the plan's center of gravity?
-The center of gravity synergizes the plan
-Let's crosswalk that idea
-We're having a "wave top" conversation
-Frame the problems
-Are all the plans nested
-There's too much asymmetrical conversation here
-The altitude of the planning effort
-You need to bracket the idea
-Let's put some meat on the bones
-Feed the product
-Let's chew on that one a bit
-Let's not drill down too deep
-You have to be an action shaper
-It's an intelligence product
-I'm gonna push pause on that
-You have to distill the guidance
-You have to float the proper target
-You have to draw the curtain back for a staff estimate
-Be sure not to drag it into the weeds
-Bucket that task
-We are top-down driven for a single-battle concept
-You need to drive the plan
-I can't put your foot on the gas pedal
-It's a qualitative lookup
-You need to be able to lift 'n shift
-Are we nested under the ops order correctly?
-Let's open the kimono and get a better look
-We can't boil the ocean
