Wordle fans, meet Semantle (masochists only)

This game is my favorite of the -le games. You have unlimited guesses, and the correct word is based on Semantics (the spirit of the word). As you get closer, you’ll be given a #/1000. The higher the number, the closer you are to the correct word.

I just got todays. I think their algorithm could be better, just based on how they ranked the words leading up to getting it.

Fun concept, but I’m having a hard time breaking out of searching for synonyms. For today, I got to 763/1000 before I got frustrated. Taking a break, then going to come back later.

I think of the replaceability of the word, and go from there. If I were writing a news article, which word would I use instead of the ranked word. It helps

I love semantle. I've gotten the word in less than 15 guesses, gotten it in 150 guesses, and have given up a few times. I even cheated and looked at thesaurus.com a few times when I was stumped. It's a good challenge.

Synonyms, yes. Sorta.
Think of words you can replace that word with. Tense and part of speech (verb, adverb, noun, adjective) are important.

It’s tricky. I got the 999/1000 and it still took me 8 more guesses. I got it in 40. I can tell this is going to be frustrating as hell but I will play it. Frick the OP
