There's 2 sides to every story.
Most of us have been through the process. In not saying someone doesn't get drunk and do something that was a little over the line every once in a while, but there isn't 8 pages of BS to complain about. But in the university's eyes, making pledges take out the trash is hazing, wearing a blindfold is hazing, forcing them to wear collared shirts to class is hazing, etc. I'm sure that's what the guy listed in his report, and frick him for ruining it for all the other people. Even if there was one guy who did something screwed up, quit and let the others enjoy their college experience. Don't get all pissy and try to take down the organization.
And as far as ACACIA rivaling Deke for the biggest fraternities on campus.......unless things have seriously changes in the last 5 or 6 years
. Not bad groups, but they weren't close to the big numbers frats while i was there.

There are no real investigations into this stuff. The greek organization doesn't want to look bad (I mean look how easy it is for a few stupid actions of individuals to make not only an entire fraternity, but greek system at a school, and even the entire school look bad). If there is a hint of hazing/alcohol abuse/political incorrectness, you are basically guilty. People not in greek organizations HATE greek organizations for some reason. I guess it's a can't join 'em, beat 'em type of attitude

As for the pack mentality comment, too many frat guys hope for conflict because their "brothers" have their backs. As a few can attest on here, a few good friends trump a couple of frat guys wearing salmon shorts.
Immediately jumping to the defense of a system while simultaneously admitting it to be flawed is foolish.

I've never seen this honestly. About the closest was a guy punched a pledge brother (cut his eye pretty bad) out of nowhere for no reason. No body even saw who did it until he tried to come back and do it again. Several of the guys had a scuffle with him on his way out of the bar. Other than that, I've never really seen the west-side story type frat fights everyone talks about. Not saying they don't happen, but it's overblown. I've seen way more douchey things from roided out groups of geeds.
