It seems to be more common now with younger black girls being more open to white guys.
According to the graphs in here, besides skin color, the edicated black woman has more in common with white guys as probably ever before

especially when there is such a large sex difference in major social symbols (for this discussion, college degree)
if the population of college graduates is 60/40 and a college degree is a major social requirement for marriage consideration of that population, there are going to be a LOT of people who simply don't have partner options. like all the males in China who will never marry because there simply aren't enough women to do so.

Hard to know what factors play into that OKC data on desirability. Could be any number of things.

Black women are getting less inclined to wait for a black man, deal with frickboys and/or street dudes and have started to expand their options.

I'm a white guy. My wife's family seems to like me just fine. Results will vary.

I’ve been a casual observer from the sidelines of the dating game for some time now. I’ve found that marriage and dating is kinda like baseball. You have your minor leagues and the big league.
Some people are triple a, aa or single a. The 5 tool rich and sexy are in the majors. You can get in better shape or get a better job to jump a league but for the most part you are going to be picking from a pool on your level.
The problem is men tend to realize their lot in life a lot sooner than women.

women participate in hookup culture in college that decreases the value of sex and marriage and trains them to compete over small #s of men
and
the college-educated are the primary demographic that's still getting married
people are jumping from sex to marriage to dating in this thread but it's about marriage. women are in trouble in terms of finding mates

Look, i’m a married guy.. but there are plenty of days when i think that maybe marriage isn’t really for everyone......... Maybe the idea that marriage is the end all/ be all is becoming more antiquated.. now i realize that that will go over like a lead balloon here on a message board where the majority of members live primarily in the South, but just maybe consider that.
