Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But, I will also say that some of the smoke shows that you have mentioned have most likely dated and/or married good-looking men before, and where did that get them?
Many women, especially those who have suffered a traumatic relationship breakup before, are searching for men who can communicate, and connect with them emotionally and mentally. The physical is secondary, but becomes greater because of the emotional and mental connection.
