Except that's not how message board conversations work. Hence the technical ability to directly respond to another's post despite subsequent posts occurring before your response. It provides clarity and helps to prevent confusion. The internet thingy. It's not new.
The error was admitted as a mistake, but you still didn't understand that with the "and...?" response.

I agree with the poster you just quoted, it wasn't that hard to figure out what was meant, what was meant was explained to you, and you still seemed clueless about what happened.

It's ridiculous. You'd be surprised how many people are truly like this too. I fricking hate some people.

Its like an incredible internet troll, but she was serious.

Its hard to believe someone could type that and think it sounded good.

This . . .

The guy who said this was. Which was part of the string of responses to which you responded.

is admitting a mistake? I guess so. Typically, I would just say something along the lines of "Yeah, I meant to respond to X," but that's just me.

I hate when I go to a restaurant and someone spoils the entire evening by dying in the bathroom.

If you're an owner of a restaurant, it's probably a good idea to be called immediately if the restaurant thinks someone may have possibly died while in said restaurant.

Again the response was by an angry manager who wasn't managing on a very very busy night. It sounds like he is as much an idiot as the Facebook poster. In the service industry other's holidays are your busy days and you work. Maybe she did have a crap experience and he should have been there. Either way an absent manager has no business going off on a customer.

From what I've read, he is an owner. There is no need for him to have been working that night, but he certainly should have been informed about what was happening. He has every right to respond too, regardless of whether he was there or not.

Since you started the condescending thing, I'll explain this to you slowly. On message boards there are these things called threads. Threads lay out a given topic for discussion. Within that thread people post responses as part of that discussion. One response can respond to another to add onto a vein of that discussion in a related way. These can build on top of each other. If you respond to something someone may respond to you building off of the given conversation. Once you respond to a thread people will take your comment in context of the overall thread of comments to which you responded. You should take responses to you in context of a given conversation. You should realize that someone taking into account the overall thread of conversation isn't accusing you of something, and you shouldn't get all defensive like a little bitch. Welcome to how conversations work 201.

He isn't a manager, he is a partner of the ownership group for several restaurants. Just go put his name and city in Google, Chris Burton Indianapolis. It's really easy to confirm this...

If someone is going to bad mouth a customer, an owner doing it is more than acceptable. It's also a pretty good idea to contact the higher management when something like customer safety is involved.

I didn't. Your "[w]elcome to . . ." statement did, however.

You've already admitted that another poster made a statement to which you intended to respond in a manner that would refute that statement. Now, you're resorting to a pretty impressive feat of obfuscation to justify not responding directly to that poster (and I am impressed
).

Accusing someone else of getting defensive after just spilling that warm effluvium in justification is pretty funny (and simultaneously pathetic).
