A woman filed a lawsuit against Walmart claiming race discrimination for having to be escorted to a register to buy African-American beauty products that were locked in a case.

Essie Grundy, who was joined by her husband, daughter and attorney Gloria Allred, talked about the suit during a press conference Friday.

She shot cellphone video of the incident, describing what she found at the Walmart.

"When I walked down the aisle and saw that Walmart had placed all of the African-American hair and skin products under lock-and-key, I had to pause," she said. "I felt that I was being treated as a person who might be a thief, even though I have no criminal history."

Grundy said what was concerning was being escorted to the register.

"I never want my children, or anyone else's children, to experience what I did at Walmart that day," she said.

And of course Gloria Allred is all up in the middle of it

She's the biggest red flag in the history of lawyers. Her daughter is in contention for her title as well.

Stop discriminating against us gamers too! Why are all of the video games under lock and key? I should sue.

Ultimately Walmart’s hoping that the person that made the call used good data and not gut feelings....

There's probably a good reason those products are locked up. I wonder what it is.

Fck it.
Walmart should unlock that stuff then raise the prices to make up for the losses they suffer from said products being stolen

Those products are regularly stolen I imagine and a decision from corporate through loss prevention was made. Guess what, Walmart can do whatever the frick they want with THEIR PROPERTY.

All Walmart has to do is send out a list of their most stolen hair care items.

Baby formula is locked up like that too! Why discriminate against people with kids?!?

Bitch, stuff that is locked up is stuff with has a high theft rate and/or is easy to conceal.

Blame the individuals stealing shite, not the store trying to stop them. Or they will just stop carrying the stuff.
