Probably what happened. Not the drivers fault because he wouldn’t have seen it. Just an idiotic move on the person if true.

How the fricking frick does anyone, even if they're drunk as a skunk, get run over by a Mardi Gras float?

Heard she was chasing After a kit running between floats to try to stop him. Anyone know if that’s true?

Oh crap, I know someone who is a rider on that float. She posted a pic on FB earlier today. I'll have to see if she's updated.

you’re mad because I corrected on your lack of information in an earlier thread.

I’ll link it if you’d like to look like a dumb arse

If someone tried to jump between floats, it’s fairly easy to misjudge how fast they’re actually going.

it’s not like getting hit by a car. If you fall in front of wheel it will run your over.

About time y’all get home. It’s a school night. Staying out past 10 for a fricking parade is not good parenting

Did you hear that from that one guy who was at that place and talked to the person who was basically there, that heard from a person on the float?

I do security for some of these parades. And it scares me how close people get, only with their eyes up grasping for beads. These are heavy floats.
I've had to knock away kids and drunks trying to grab a stupid bead or cup so many times.
It's normally 90% fun just walking and helping with these double decker floats , some with 3 sections.

This seems like a freak accident. Mardi gras will go on. But those barricades might be pushed a little further back now.

Blessings to that family and their loss
