Woman reveals large pantry full of fast foods that don’t rot

A woman with a cupboard full of unwrapped junk food has shocked millions of TikTok users as she proves that some processed foods never go bad — including pizza, fried chicken and doughnuts.
In a post with now over 3.3 million views on the social media platform, TikTok user Elif Kandemir shared a clip in which she explores her mom’s pantry, she claimed, stacked high with portable plastic storage drawers full of fast food and other highly processed comestibles.
“This is my mum’s food cupboard — full of foods that never go off!” she wrote in text over the video.
“My mum is a nutritionist helping to tackle obesity,” read another blurb. “These foods shown here are ultra-processed foods that 80% of the UK consume on a regular basis.”
“Still fancy that burger?” Kandemir asked in the video’s caption.
In a follow-up video, she claimed that her mom, a psychotherapist and nutritionist, began collecting the dishes about two years ago.
“Most of this food she’s been collecting over the last two years, so most of it is one to two years old,” Kandemir says in a voiceover.

Welp. This explains the obesity

Is she helping her mum to eat it?

Bacteria won't even eat the shite but we're feeding it to our kids

I read that as “Woman reveals large panty full of fast food.”

That’s gross but do you really need to keep an entire pantry full of it? We get the picture

Morgan Spurlock's documentary Supersize Me included something like this. He put a McD burger and fries into several bell jars and showed their deterioration (or lack thereof) over time. Something like a year later, they looked very nearly the same as "fresh".

If you make consumables that are resistant to bacteria growth, then store them in a clean environment that isn't conducive to bacteria growth, you may be surprised to find that bacteria struggles to grow on them!
Here's another crazy experiment:
Fill a jar with a brine or vinegar solution then submerge food in the jar. You can leave it like that for years, even decades probably!

I don't eat fast food.
But at least twice a year, I get this weird urge for pizza hut. But I feel terrible afterwards.
And I'm pretty sure its' every bit as bad as McDonalds or Wendy's.

Many of those foods lack moisture as well. Drying out foods will also limit bacteria growth

Yea, this seems almost like a miracle of modern food science that can only help humanity in the long run. The food it's being used for is horrible for our health now but if we can make food that doesn't allow bacteria to grow, and could be consumable 2 years later, seems like that will solve a ton of food based illnesses and help feed people even during famines because of how long it can last before going bad.

That food looks delicious. Now I'm hungry.

They might not look too bad but you would tell if they were side by side with fresh fast food. I’ve seen time lapses on YouTube showing those things rotting. But they kind of just change colors slightly and wilt over time.

I had a simple sandwich with regular white bread from a lunch that I turned into a science experiment. Left it in the Tupperware for close to a year and nothing aged. Bread looked as fresh as new and the meat and cheese were fine as well.

If she hasn't already, she'll be on an episode of My 600 Lb Life sooner rather than later.
