He didn't steal her keys the night before or case her in Denham Springs. She worked in Denham bc she had an antique store. She had been working late that night. On the way home she stopped at Jack In The Box to get food. They think somewhere between getting off the interstate and Jack In The Box he saw her and followed her. She had brought some stuff in from the car and left her keys in door accidentally. She then went to take a bath and he interrupted her while she was taking her bath. She was a crime of opportunity.

Was it confirmed that she was raped? As horrible as this is, I was hoping she was at least spared that as part of her final moments.

Lee was working on Main Street in Denham as a cement mixer at the time. A friend in Denham said the day of the crime she was talking how she had lost her keys. The POS was a serial killer it was a planned opportunity. Just like all of his victims, he watched them for a little while before doing the deed.

I don't believe he's been formally charged with that yet, but given, like you said, her clothes were found elsewhere and his criminal history, yeah I am going to guess she was likely sexually assaulted as well.

I had wondered why the initial indictment had a name in parentheses , now I know it was his Father's last name
From that is it possible that his Daddy got out while Pookie was in, and that Daddy leads the family in recidivist criminality?
Also was a mention of an older brother being incarcerated a mistake (not the brother he had been visiting daily before this murder), or did some reporter mistake the Father for a non-existent older brother?
