It’s truly frightening if you really stop and think about how random crime can be, and how a few seconds here or there can alter a person’s fate and the lives of those around them.

If he's a true hood rat, he never even knew she was a heiress to a fortune. He saw a fine white woman and snatched her. That's as far as his thoughts went. I pray I'm wrong but I don't expect her to be found alive. Alas, I only know what I've read online and it's been very inaccurate up to this point.
